Jazz dancing, rooted in the African American culture, is telling the story of people who survived despite oppressions still affecting them to this day.“

Social Dance

Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz are part of the so-called “social dances”. On a social dance evening, music from a DJ or a live swing band plays and everyone dances with everyone. You learn the basics in our courses, but you learn to dance properly on the social dance floor.

Shows

On request, we will dance at your event. Regardless of whether it is a company event, wedding, birthday or other celebration, we spread a good mood with our show. On request, we also give a Lindy Hop crash course for all the dance-loving guests. For further details send us your request.

Lindy Hop & Solo Jazz Classes

We offer weekly Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz courses. The classes are aimed at a wide audience, from complete beginners to more experienced dancers. Those who can’t make it during the week can profit from one of our weekend workshops. Our team has years of dance and teaching experience and is looking forward to sharing it with you. Privates

For individuals, couples or small groups, we offer private lessons upon request. Depending on your level and preference, you can book a single teacher or a teacher pair. When sending us your request, please indicate how many people, on which dates and if possible already your preferred dance teachers. For more information about our prices click here.

LINDY HOP & SOLO JAZZ ZURICH

Ella’s Fellas is a dance school for Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz in the lively district 4 in the heart of Zurich. A few minutes from the main train station. We offer weekly courses, at noon and in the evening. You can also book weekend workshops, shows and private lessons. Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz Parties take place several times a month on Fridays or Saturdays. Have a look at our course page.
